Barry Curtis Park development
Location: Barry Curtis Park is at the heart of Flat Bush.
A total land area of 94 hectares, will mean that it will be bigger than the Auckland Domain. The park will be closely linked with Flat Bush's town centre, with the western part of the town centre surrounded by the park.
The vision for the park is to create 'a regionally significant park that reflects the people and cultures of Manukau.'
Status: The park is currently under development, with total completion scheduled for 2022. Read more about the park's development milestones.

Clevedon Showgrounds

Location: 87 and 107 Monument Road, Clevedon
This project involved the need to undertake bulk earthworks across newly acquired land. The earthworks set the platforms for the relocation of some of the showground's user groups.
Dressage and Pony Club have been relocated with the A&P group scheduled for relocation in the near future.
Status: relocation scheduled for completion by October 2010.

Greenmount Reserve - public toilet block
Location: 81R Guys Road, Botany
This project involves the construction of a toilet block and associated landscape paving works, including a drinking fountain and seating.
Status: works begin April 2010 with aniticipated completion in July 2010.

Kawakawa Bay shoreline protection and enhancement, stage 2
Location: 1482R Clevedon Kawakawa Bay Road
Cobble protection on western side of Whitford Point Reserve and sandy placement (beach nourishment) on eastern side. Stormwater upgrading is to be made in conjunction with the development.
Status: detail design drawings are being prepared. Works are scheduled to begin in April, finishing in July 2010.

Mangemangeroa to Point View walkway

Location: 31R Hayley Lane, 249R & 263R Point View Drive, 253 & 222R Whitford Road
This project involves extending the Mangemangeroa walkway to connect through to Hayley Lane. This forms part of the long term goal of connecting to Point View Reserve.
This extension will enhance the existing walkway and provide access to Point View Drive, Kilkenny Drive Reserve and Logan Carr Reserve. It will consist of bush tracks and boardwalks, similar to those on the existing walkway. Seating and furniture may be placed at key vantage points for people to pause and enjoy the natural environment.
Status: working on detailed designs.

Maraetai foreshore erosion mitigation
Location: Between 225 and 265 Maraetai Drive
The Maraetai Beach foreshore has experienced significant damage over the last few years, resulting in the failure of existing protection works.
It is proposed to construct a low timber wall to protect the carpark. The project also includes:
- Placement of sand on the upper part of the beach to increase the sand volume and to screen the wall
- An area of dune planting further to the east, and
- Stormwater enhancements.

Status: consultation has closed. Resource consent and detailed design drawings are progressing. Physical works are anticipated to begin in June with completion by July 2010.

Skatepark at Barry Curtis Park
Location: Barry Curtis Park, Flat Bush
The council is building a new premier skatepark at Barry Curtis Park. Isthmus Group will design the proposed skatepark based on feedback from potential users. The skatepark plans follow requests from young people living in Botany and Flat Bush to progress the building of the skatepark. read more
Status: Physical works have begun. We anticipate the skatepark to be completed by July 2010.

Spinnaker Bay cycle/walkway
We are in the process of developing a cycle / walkway connection from Te Puru Park to Second View Ave in Beachlands.
On 12 October 2009 the Clevedon Community Board approved Options 1 and 2 as the preferred route. They also approved that concrete be used as the construction surface of the walkway.
