A right of entry must be obtained from council if you wish to:
- Enter a park or reserve to work with machinery
- Enter a park or reserve to excavate
- Take a vehicle through a park to access your property
Gaining a right of entry is not guaranteed. Weather conditions may be detrimental or the proposed use may have a negative impact on the park.
There is an administration fee of $135 which is non refundable. This fee covers processing inspections of the site prior and post use.
The right of entry provides a financial back up for any damages that may occur on the park during the customer's time there.
There is also a bond which ranges from $1,000 to $50,000 depending on:
- What is being taken into the park (e.g. diggers, trucks)
- The purpose (e.g. storage of materials, containers, excavations)
- The length of time of use of the park.
Providing that we are satisfied with the park re-instatement after the completion of the job, there will be a full refund of the bond.
Please remember that because of OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) regulations the site becomes a work site and therefore you are responsible for all safety until the work is completed.
