Before you construct or repair the fence
Step 1
Apply to Manukau Parks at least 21 working days before you begin to build the fence.

Please include the following details:
- Your name, and address of the property you are claiming for
- Your postal address (if different from above), and best contact number
- Details of the fence you are proposing to build - height, length and material to be used (Note: you cannot make a claim if you are using a fibrolite material. The fence can not be higher than 2 metres)
- Provide copies of quotes or details of the expected cost of construction and or repair (If the property owner is building the fence themselves, they can include $10 an hour for labour).
Step 2
We will confirm with you if you are eligible for a contribution and the maximum contribution available.
Step 3
After receiving the confirmation of eligibility, you can begin construction or repairs.
Once your fence is constructed
- Fill out the
one-page form in the brochure (PDF 1.17mb)
- If eligible your fence will be inspected
- Payment will be made to your bank account.
