New Settlers' Policy and Action Plan
Council developed the New Settlers' Policy and Action Plan in 2003. This provides a framework for developing council services, and a programme of action that responds to the needs and priorities of Manukau's migrant and refugee communities.

Auckland Regional Migrant Services
The Auckland Regional Migrant Services Charitable Trust (ARMS) offers free services to help migrants and refugees settle successfully in the Auckland region.
ARMS can help with:
- Information, advice and document assistance in 25 different languages
- Employment workshops and assistance with getting a job
- Informative workshops
- Advice about English language courses.
