Junior neighbourhood support.

Manukau City Council is proud to introduce the Junior Neighbourhood Support programme.

Currently it is run in 15 primary schools in Manukau. This programme rewards young people for carrying out activities that promote pride, safety and community spirit within Manukau city in areas such as:

  • Helping a neighbour
  • Showing leadership in church or a community group
  • Reducing graffiti
  • Fire safety
  • Picking up rubbish
  • Injury prevention
  • Care of a local park, library or community centre.

 

The programme is an initiative of Safe Communities and began in 2008. It is strongly supported by the:
