We are Hauora Tamariki (2010) from Clendon Park School. We are part of the school leadership team and we are responsible for several events and projects in our school.
We represent our school at Student Health Team Training days and this year we attended the Manukau Beautification Trust day at the Auckland Regional Botanic Gardens.
We are part of the Clendon Developing Leaders group at our school. We run school assemblies and give out prizes to those students who show responsibility in our playground. We run competitions and recently raised over $100 for the Asthma Foundation supporting Balloon Day in May.
In 2009 we started painting a huge mural at our school. We will be finishing this off in Term 4, when the weather improves. It shows some of the programmes we are involved in and what we promote at our school.
This is our proposed garden area. We already have a lime tree growing here and soon we will have some garden beds and planter boxes ready for planting and growing vegetables for us to use.
