Te Tuhi is a public contemporary art gallery for Manukau city.  All eight exhibition spaces have free entry, year round.

Te Tuhi features:

  • A wide range of children's and adult's art classes, both during the day and after hours
  • Facilities for hire include a 200 seat auditorium and several large meeting areas with access to kitchen amenities
  • A gift shop stocking contemporary New Zealand design
  • A cafe, open Monday through Saturday, except public holidays
  • Attached to the centre is a fully licensed kindergarten offering sessional and full day early childhood education. Phone 09 576 8136 for more information.

History

The Pakuranga Arts and Cultural Trust was established in 2000 by the Pakuranga Arts Society and the council. It oversaw the establishment of Te Tuhi by combining the Fisher Gallery and the Pakuranga Community and Cultural Centre.

Te Tuhi is now administered by the Eastern Manukau Arts Trust in conjunction with the Pakuranga Arts and Cultural Trust.
