In the past the theatre has been used as a 'metropolitan theatre', the décor reflects the influence of the 1920s and the Charleston era with elaborate lattice ceilings.
The Metro Theatre is adjacent to Mangere East Library and Massey Homestead. Disabled access is available; however there are no disabled toilet facilities.
Theatre, performance and arts groups are welcome to contact the theatre for bookings. It's an ideal space for:
