Local school visits to the Visy Material Recovery Facility

The Visy New Zealand Material Recovery Facility (MRF), processes all kerbside recycling collected from the wheelie bins from both Manukau and Auckland cities.

The facility is the most technologically advanced recycling system in the southern hemisphere and is capable of sorting 80,000 tonnes of recyclable material each year.

The MRF has a dedicated education centre to provide students and teachers with a first-hand learning experience.

WasteWise Schools is an Education for Sustainability programme that assists schools to reduce their waste.
