Manukau’s recycling service for residents is making it easier to recycle. All recycling goes in one recycling wheelie bin, including paper and cardboard.
Recycling is collected fortnightly and rubbish is collected weekly.

Manukau City Anniversary recycling competition
We received received more than 2,000 entries for our first year recycling competition telling us that residents are enthusiastic about recycling and that many people know what can or cannot be put into recycling bins.
Aerosols, milk and juice cartons can all go in the bin, but not plastic bags and 13 per cent of your average rubbish bag could still go into the recycling bin.
