Support in Manukau

Residents and businesses rely on Manukau’s economy being healthy.

That’s why a big part of the council’s work is to create a great place to do business – by investing in transport, communications and other infrastructure. The council plays its part by supporting businesses, helping attract investment in the city and making it easy to do business.

The council has made sure substantial areas of business zoned land are available for new businesses establishing in the city.  The price of land is very competitive, and is one of Manukau's major strengths.

Manukau has long taken a pro-business and pro-development approach to planning the city. The council has a strong stance on encouraging the Auckland region to make sure land is available for future business development.
