Water and wastewater.

Manukau City Council manages the city's water systems and  has a role in improving water quality through the Wai Care programme. We also monitor the quality of the local beach water.

The council controlled organisationManukau Water, is responsible for the overall management of the public water supply and wastewater collection systems in the urban areas of the city, and the maintenance of the stormwater and drainage system.

The council's objective for stormwater is to have effective management plans in place to protect people, property and the environment.

You can help protect our waterways by remembering anything dropped in the street goes into the stormwater system untreated, ending up in our streams and harbours.
