Food premises registration.

Food registration.

Every food premise in Manukau must hold a current Certificate of Registration.

It is illegal to operate a food business without this certificate.

The Certificate of Registration must be prominently displayed on the premises.

If you have purchased an existing business, you must transfer the licence to your name for your registration to remain valid.

Register your food business

At least one person working on daily basis at the food premises must complete a training course on food hygiene in order for the premises to be registered.

A copy of the food hygiene training certificate must be attached to your application form for all new and transferred licences.

Registration renewal

Towards the end of the licensing year (May), premises that are currently registered will automatically be sent an invoice and a registration renewal form.

You must pay the appropriate fee and complete the form to remain registered.
