  1. In some instances, the council only has written information about a property, but not Geo-Spatial (images) information about the property. This site only displays information available to the council.

    Manukau City Council does not invite any visitor to this website to act or omit an action based upon any information within this website. The use of any such information is entirely at the visitor's own risk and discretion.

  4. Aerial photography is updated on a periodic basis and provided to the council by an external service provider. The refresh of aerial photography will be completed as soon as practicable when it is made available to the council.

  5. The information on the site is updated as soon as practicable when it is made available to the council (Section 28C (3) of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002). In most cases, this would be within 5 working days of the information being available to the council.

  9. According to Section 28(2) of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002, the property owner's details (name and contact address) should not be provided via the Rating Information Database (which is one of the purposes of this system) on the internet.

  10. According to Section 28A (2.a.i) of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002, the property owner's details (name and contact address) can be provided via the 'Complete Rating Information Database' (CRID). This is located at our customer centre, Kotuku House, 4 Osterley Way, Manukau City Centre.

  11. Section 27(3) of the Local Government (Rating) Act 2002 allows information about properties to be provided for the following purposes:

    • to record all information required for setting and assessing rates; and
    • to enable a local authority to communicate with ratepayers; and
    • to enable members of the public to have reasonable access to the information in the database relating to the calculation of liability for rates.
  12. A ratepayer can at any time request their name and postal address to be withheld from publication in the Complete Rating Information Database' (CRID). They can also decide to withhold just one of the above (so they can request that their name be published and their postal address withheld, or the other way around).

    The ratepayer wishing to have their details withheld from publication in the CRID needs to put their request in writing, then:

  16. The council does not print and post / email maps. This site has been designed to allow the customer to print or download a map (in Adobe PDF format) themselves. Printing services are available at the customer centre, Kotuku House, 4 Osterley Way, Manukau City.

  17. For technical reasons information from the Complete Rating Information Database (CRID) cannot be printed, but can from the publicly available website.
