Step 2 - The interview process

Certain roles will be subject to pre-employment screening. Where appropriate, candidates will be notified at interview stage and will be asked to bring along with them a valid form of identification (e.g. passport or drivers licence). Candidates will be required to complete the relevant forms in order for their application to progress and the screening can be completed.

All jobs within council require psychometric testing. Different assessments are used according to the criteria of the position you are applying for.
- Personality assessments allow us to gain a better understanding of your interpersonal style, customer focus and work attitudes (including leadership potential)
- Ability assessments help us understand your ability to critically analyse words and/or numbers.
